November 8, 2017
11:00 am-12:00 pm
This is a learning network from the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities (TFN).
The benefits of integrating water and transportation infrastructure are undeniable and many cities are quickly getting on board. In addition to improving pedestrian and bicycle safety, reducing stormwater run-off, and making streets more aesthetically appealing, incorporating green infrastructure elements can also build wealth and create jobs.
While some foundations have been supporting local demonstration projects, many funders do not have a clear understanding of how they can help communities incorporate green streets into common practice. Join us on Wednesday, November 8, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Pacific for a presentation and lively conversation about what some cities are doing and how these green streets can be replicated elsewhere.
