Each spring, the Funders’ Network hosts an annual conference for its members and other funders interested in leveraging land use policy and practice to achieve positive results for the environment, community, and people. Long-term and new funders and practitioners come together and reveal new tools and tactics for gaining the most from public decisions about how communities grow, develop, evolve, and change. Funders share promising practices and delve deeper into the art of grantmaking. Learning from the place is a core component of Network conferences, reflected in a variety of mobile workshops.
Conference attendees can expect a lot of interactivity, a friendly “not too big” atmosphere, and a chance to learn from each other and the place. Funders come together at the annual conference to share their experiences and dig deeper into issues in the field.
The annual conference is consistently among the Network’s most highly-rated member service. Member foundations enjoy two free conference registrations annually.
Registration is open only to staff, directors, trustees, and donors of grantmaking institutions.
Smart Growth California will host an ad hoc breakfast meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 AM on Wednesday March 22 for funders interested in learning more about the latest developments in California.
