Join Catalyst of San Deigo & Imperial Counties for this immersive, overnight experience that will give you a comprehensive understanding of the impacts of environmental and climate issues including health disparities, job and infrastructure opportunities, community leadership, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to foster meaningful relationships with community groups, leaders, and experts who are advocating about these topics. We will also discuss the emerging lithium energy market, and how it benefits and potentially harms the people who live and work there. Over the course of the two days, participants will engage in informative discussions, tour areas including Calipatria, the Salton Sea, and Calexico, and speak with community members to delve into the heart of the region’s challenges, hopes, and visions.
