Challenges of mobility, land use and housing are not unique to big cities. This funder-only webinar shines a spotlight on work in smaller cities and rural areas, asking questions such as: What does sustainable and equitable mobility look like in less dense places? How have COVID and remote working affected housing affordability and transportation in smaller cities? And what narratives resonate best in more conservative places? Join us for a free ranging conversation about transit, active mobility, funding, governance and more with place-based funders and advocates from the San Joaquin Valley of California, Northwest Arkansas and Greenville County in South Carolina. The call is hosted by Smart Growth California’s San Joaquin Valley Funders’ Collaborative and the Mobility and Access Collaborative, both part of The Funders Network. The webinar will help funders learn about innovative strategies powered by local engagement.
Speakers:
Veronica Garibay, Co-Founder and Co-Director, Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability Jeremy Pate, Senior Program Officer, Walton Family Foundation Katy Smith, Executive Director, Piedmont Health Foundation Martha Roskowski, Coordinator, Mobility and Access Collaborative (moderator)
