Big Table events hosted by LA Thrives are typically convened every quarter. Given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this format has been changed to accommodate a new series of shorter but connected discussions that are suitable for a virtual session. This three-session arc will explore aspects of equitable recovery in accordance with the Steering Committee’s suggestions. Please join us for the first session:

Agenda
- What federal resources are available and what needs greatest advocacy attention for housing and Los Angeles?
- How do we prioritize policies that protect vulnerable residents (seniors, people experiencing homelessness, etc.) and empower communities of color to develop an effective advocacy agenda in Los Angeles?
- How do we navigate the current crisis vs. plan for a longer term equitable recovery strategy?
- Addressing racial inequities -What are the political and policy opportunities for achieving greater equity?
- How can California lead in its response and deployment of federal resources?
- What else do we need from the federal government? (such as infrastructure needs and more specific housing appropriations)
